When I was young my brother and sister would play piano duets at home. I can remember their entire repertoire. When looking for a piece for my school orchestra in 2015 this vibrant Spanish Dance that they often used to play first came to mind. It leaned itself to lots of extra colour that the orchestra can give from glissandi on the xylophone to a ‘soupy’ high violins countermelody in the A minor section.
