Sonata in G Major for Trumpet and Organ
In 1996 the trumpeter Gavin Wells asked me to write a piece for him with organ accompaniment. This sonata was the result and Gavin kindly played it at a recital in Gloucester Cathedral. Unfortunately, it coincided with school Commemoration day so I was unable to get to hear it. Still, there’s always next time…
