First set of Piano Preludes
One of the joys of the creative experience is finding a simple, small-scale idea and turning it into a complex, large-scale project. Thus a Prelude for piano as a Christmas present developed a few months later into an ongoing project to work through the 24 keys.
The plan was to organise the 24 into a scheme that provides a logical choice of keys both for two sets of 12 and four sets of six. This way, whilst I shall always be delighted to have a single piece played, there might be encouragement for a pianist to play six or possibly twelve.
